    Seven Pounds (Sete Vidas) é um Drama centralizado em Tim Thomas (Will Smith). Tim é um mero agente de IRS que se encontra numa profunda depressão. Guarda um segredo que lhe causa um peso enorme na consciência.

    Ben Thomas, Holly Apelgren, Connie Tepos, George Ristuccia, Nicholas Adams, Ezra Turner e Emily Posa. Esta lista de nomes representa 7 pessoas que têm algo em comum: todas elas chegaram a um ponto da vida em que precisam de ajuda, seja ela relacionada com a saúde, bem-estar ou até mesmo de finanças. Tim escolheu cada uma destas pessoas muito cuidadosamente para ter a certeza que ajudaria quem realmente merecesse.

    Porém, o inesperado acontece. Quando Tim já não pensava que fosse possível que alguém lhe conseguisse mexer de forma sentimental, eis que surge Emily Posa na sua vida. Emily sofre de problemas cardíacos e transforma por completo o modo como Tim vê o mundo.

    Eu não sou grande fã de dramas, mas tenho que admitir que este filme conseguiu convencer-me por completo. Um excelente trabalho de Grant Nieport que escreveu esta belíssima história. Muito possivelmente também mudará um pouco a sua forma de ver o mundo e/ou de encarar a vida. Esta é a opinião de muitos que viram o filme (como poderá pesquisar por toda a internet) e não apenas um juízo da minha parte. Destaco (novamente) o papel do actor principal - Will Smith. TM

    Good Will Hunting (O Bom Rebelde) conta a história dum jovem orfão, Will Hunting, interpretado por Matt Damon, que trabalha como empregado de limpeza no MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) apesar das suas extraordinárias capacidades matemáticas, que fazem dele um génio. Os problemas que Will Hunting arranja nas ruas, levam-no, por determinação legal, a ter que fazer terapia e a ter aulas de matemática com um professor que conseguira a sua libertação da prisão. Nenhum psicólogo consegue “agarrar” Will Hunting, até que Sean Maguire (Robin Williams) finalmente o consegue. O filme, com um argumento escrito por Matt Damon e Ben Affleck, faz-nos perceber que precisamos sempre de alguém ao nosso lado com quem possamos contar. Retrata a forma como devemos procurar compreender quem somos, aquilo que nos sentimos bem a fazer e não o que os outros querem para nós, encontrando o verdadeiro rumo para a nossa vida. Good Will Hunting foi premiado com 2 Óscares da Academia: Melhor Actor Secundário (Robin Williams) e Melhor Argumento Original. MP
